Chlorine tablets dissolve to release two important cleaning actives:
1. Hypochlorous acid – a highly effective bactericide and virucide for rapid disinfection
2. Sodium hypochlorite – an effective bleaching agent for cleaning, stain removal and rapid disinfection
Chlorine tablets release a higher level of hypochlorous acid than that obtained from using liquid bleach which makes them a source of highly effective disinfectant. Chlorine tablets have a better shelf life. It is well known that the hypochlorite content of all liquid bleach solutions drops naturally with time. However, the chlorine content of Chlorine tablets is much more stable giving them a longer shelf life.
